Tuesday's Training

Tuesday, March 13, 2007

I asked a friend to suggest something different for me to do today, he said I should do this indoors:

20 push ups
Rest
20 sit ups
Rest
20 push ups
Rest
20 Leg Raises
Rest

REPEAT.

Trust me, I thought this was not enough so I decided to run for about 22 minutes, at a quick pace and then:

20 push ups

Rest
20 sit ups
Rest
20 Leg Raises
Rest

REPEAT.

This was hard, especially the leg raises and the push ups. I have stretched, I hope my shoulders and thighs don't hurt tomorrow.

It felt good! So I think I'll try out the endurance training, that Vickii told me about, on Thursday.

It's shower time for me and I'm going to have a healthy omelette for dinner using 2 eggs but ONE egg yolk.

That sounds tough but it's good that you're working out your entire body, I might try it sometime.

I did a 30 minute endurance session today, it's really nice when the weather is as amazing as it is now.

I heard about the 10 mile run on runners world, check it out and let me know if you're up for it.

I am doing the endurance session tonight.

I'll be working in London the whole of next week so I'll go running in the mornings :-)

I checked it out, looks challenging... the pics on the site were filled with MEN! What do you think?

Let me know how the endurance session goes ... I want to go for a run tonight after work.

I think we'll be able to tackle 10 miles by september, I say we should go for it. What I've started to dread is the 21 day challenge ... I'll need so much support to get through that! Have you thought about at all?

Ok then, let's do it! :-)

Oh, I've been thinking about it. I am going to buy light dumbells so 2ce a week, I can work out indoors during the 21 day challenge.

Now, the food... that will be tough, very tough.

Support? We'll need to help each other out A LOT! I'll blog everyday(about my food and exercise) and please comment as often as you can, and I think we should meet up on a Saturday during that time to run together... maybe the last Saturday....

I am looking forward to it!

FRESH FOOD

Fresh, "unprocessed" organic food, such as vegetables and fruits are purchased directly from growers, at farmers' markets, from on-farm stands, supermarkets, through speciality food stores, and through community-supported agriculture (CSA) projects. Unprocessed animal products like organic meat, eggs, dairy, are less commonly available in "fresh" form.

Hmmm, that's true .. it doesn't have to be running everyday! You're giving me ideas, I might buy some dumbells too and maybe some ankle weights so that one day a week, I can just go brisk walking with the ankle weights on. Maybe a dance workout video for one day of the week ... the possibilities are endless. I'll try not to run more than four times a week for those three weeks otherwise I'll get bored of it.

Fresh food will be a challenge for me too ... 5 portions. And I'll have to give up my cups of tea. We should go for a run on the last saturday I agree. I'm not dreading it as much anymore, thanks!
