Thursday's Run

Thursday, March 08, 2007

I just got back from a 25 minute QUICK run... I really feel good right now (after catching my breath)!

After 10 minutes, I could feel my lungs struggling for air, because my speed was quicker than normal... I tried my best to keep my speed up and I think I succeeded.

I increased my pace a little more, right at the end. I could not even try to sprint...

Buki, there is a 10 km race that I would like to take part in, in August. I have just started going to the gym, yet to start jogging(conditions here not condusive, i ll start maybe next month),in your expert opinion, do you think it is possible? I have to register soon, what do you think? by the way, i am going to be in the "fun race" part, meaning the last part! hahahahahahhhahahah

Hi Waffy,
August is 5 months away... you want it to be a 'fun race' so it shouldn't be a problem.
If you start training in April, that's 4 months from the race... you've seen my fisrt few posts on how I started running? Try that out and you should be able to run for 30 minutes by June...
Try to do a 5k run (it doesn't have to be a race) you can run by yourself in June and July. This should get you prepared for a FUN race, not one where you'll challenge yourself and overo it o!
Keep me posted ok...?
